Project E-vita^TM DispatchGate and Office ActiveTemplates

Introduction

"Secure Document Archiving!" 

DispatchGate^TM is a unique element of the Project E-vita^TM functionality. Comprising of a small utility embedded into the main system web page, DispatchGate^TM controls the secure up and download of documentation attached to the patients Electronic Record using industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology.

The documents being attached can be of ANY format:

• Word / Office documents, letters
• Scanned images
• Clinical Imagery, DICOM, X-Rays, CT, MRI
• Video footage in formats such as MPEG or MOV
• Results of investigations

On upload of a file for attachment to the EPR, DispatchGate^TM will first compress the file and then using an SSL link securely transfer the file for storage in the server's document storage area. Project E-vita^TM receives the file, assigns it to the relevant clinical encounter and places it in Secure Storage.

Documents uploaded to the server can be assigned various levels of privacy. They can be marked as accessible to all your staff, clinical staff or only the document owner.
