Summary: Industry News: Evaware well placed to leverage Australia’s adoption of SNOMED-CT.

Description:

The developers of E-vita, Evaware Ltd, has spent much of 2009 forming a strategic alliance with Australian Partners Rubikon Group (http://www.rubikon.com.au/) to help it leverage the recent adoption of SNOMED-CT clinical terminology in e-Health by the Australian Government. The Australian Government announced the deployment of SNOMED-CT licensing in the country through NEHTA, National E-Health Transition Authority.

Evaware Ltd is an early adopter of SNOMED-CT in e-Health solutions and used SNOMED-CT as the cornerstone to the E-vita product. E-vita was designed from the ground up to exploit the clinical terminology and make E-vita suitable for deployment in any specialty and any domain of medicine. Using SNOMED-CT gives E-vita the depth of clinical coded terminology required for any branch of medicine.

Evaware Ltd and Rubikon Group are already involved in several specialised tenders in Australia and are intending to deploy solutions both with and without the Telehealth monitoring services.
